Hint: To make your scarf softer(the Red Heart is NOT soft) either wash it and add fabric softener or wash it in hair conditioner and leave it in for 1 hour.

I have been knitting for years and have never heard of using conditioner to make things softer. I am going to give it a try. Thanks for the tip.
