Messenger Bags

Messenger Bags are awesome! Both boys and girls can use them! It's the universal bag!
Yarn:
We'll just stick with the good old Heart brand yarn! Yay Heart Brand!
We will also need some different color yarn for your chart!
Needle:
Size US 7 straight

Notions:
Yarn needle and 1 1/2 yards of fabric(pick your own color and type!)


Directions:

Cast on 50(it's really the amount of space your chart takes up plus 6 sts).

Work in Stockinette stitch for 50 rows(once again you are basing this off off your chart).

Cast off.

Using your yarn needle stitch on your chart!

Measure your knitted piece and multiply that number by two(yes you must use the dreaded MATH) because that is the number of inches your cut fabric peice should be.

Sew the fabric in half(leaving the top open so...you know...you can put stuff in your bag).

Sew the knitted piece to one side of the opening.

Make a strap out of the left over fabric( make it as short or as long as you want) and sew it to the bag.

There yah go, a groovy(ha!) bag!
