Designer Bag


Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingI was inspired to make this bag because my friend Leanne is a tad obsessed with designers. You can use any designer symbol but for this one I used Chanel(with cross-bones) as seen on the chart page.




Yarn:
Designer Bag - Toxic Knitting1 skein(216 yards) pure merino wool black(A)
Designer Bag - Toxic Knitting1 skein(216 yards) pure merino wool white(B)

Needle:
Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingSize US 5 (4.5mm) straight

Notions:
Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingYarn needle
Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingSewing needle/sewing machine
Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingMaterial 1 yard (anything you want)
Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingMatching thread

Directions:

Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingCast on 52 sts using tubular style with A.
Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingWork in Stockinette stitch for 52 rows.
Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingCast off.
Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingUsing the darning needle and duplicate stitch, stitch on the chart starting 5 rows from the bottom.
Designer Bag - Toxic Knitting Cut off a piece of fabric slightly bigger then your knitting piece.
Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingSew three sides of the two pieces together,wrong sides facing up.
Designer Bag - Toxic KnittingYou can do what ever you please for the handles but what I did was to cut two 16" by 2" pieces of your fabric, then sewing them in half before sewing them to the bag.
