For those long winter nights when your cell phone gets cold.
I make too many of these things. They can become quite addicting because they are easy to make and you can personalize them in many ways.
Directions
Yarn: Anything but FunFur or anything like that and I'll tell you why. These types of yarns are 1. Not that strong 2. They don't let you express yourself as much as you might want because when you try to duplicate stitch/intarsia something it will be smothered by the yarn. You can use them (if you also use a stronger yarn with it) but I wouldn't suggest it.
Needles:

Size 4 US double pointed needles(set of 4)
Notions:

Yarn needle

Sewing needle and thread

a button
Directions:

Cast on 34 sts(average size cell phone. If your phone is slightly bigger or smaller then most just change the stitch count accordingly) and distribute among the three needles.

Knit for 35 rounds. I tend to knit tighter then usual when I use double-pointed needles so if 35 is too little or too much just knit until your phone is covered when the piece is placed on it.

Cast off 17 sts(if using more or less stitches just cast off half the amount)

Put the remaining stitches on one needle. Knit 16 rows(once again adjust to your cell phone. This is the flap so make sure your phone is covered.) On the 12 row YO in the middle of the row. This will serve as your button hole.Cast off.

Using your yarn needle and yarn, sew up the bottom(the one without the flap).

When you sew on the button make sure that it lines up with you button hole.

To add "toxic-ness" to the cover stitch something on the back. Just make sure that you
dontdon't accidentally sew the two pieces together when you stitching your image on. I have done that too many times to count.

Enjoy!!!!
